We don't
expect you to use our experience as "gospel" of what
to buy and what not to buy. We are not a company
"trained" to say what is and isn't the best. The
following is our opinions and our opinions only and not to be
taken as anything other than opinions.
Our goal is
to advise you of our positive and negative issues with equipment
we use or have used so you can avoid some of the problems we
have had. maybe even save you some money in the long, run
if not, some heart ache.

Note to
anyone interested
in our personal experiences with our equipment:
Toshiba Laptops-
are great laptops for withstanding abuse. With how we
use our equipment, traveling and in harsh conditions. We
do support their computers in this respect. Even though
we have had some small issues with their costumer support in
improving their computers when issues arise. But for the
most part we give their product line a 3 1/2 stars out of 4.
Compaq
Laptops- which we used
previously, we found issues in how their power cords plug
in. The circuit board broke a lot where the plug mounts
on the Compaq system. This happened to multiple
computers we have owned made by Compaq. This
break would make the computer unusable once the battery went
dead. Obviously without power, it would not
charge.
We
will not purchase their product for laptops due to this issue.

Note to
anyone interested
in our personal experiences with our
equipment:
Acer Laptops-
Don't ever buy any ACER products! They are almost
impossible to contact any living person with this company for
support. They also don't sell parts for the computers
they sell. We have an experience with their Acer laptops
where the battery went bad, the computer will not work with a
after market battery and they don't sell any Acer batteries
through acer anymore. HENCE a computer that is only 2
years old that is a lost cause..
Bad if not horrible
customer support issues and the incapability of getting
parts to fixe simple things like a battery that the computer
will work with. We give them a full Failing grade for
our concerns. a BIG "0" out of 4 stars.
Hewlitt Packard
Laptop- Good
customer support, and work with you to do their best to solve
our problems and concerns. As for how their
product holds up....We will let you know, we are still unsure.

Hewlett Packard- We
give a 5 star out of 5 possibility. Their customer service
is very good at working with you and your problems.
A great
example is when a new windows came out, they gave us the new
version of windows upgrade even though it was not in the
"Window" they offered online.
The computers
we have tried and use are primarily a duel core design. We
have had no issues with breakdowns, and in this
field.......anything can happen and usually does. |
Dell-
We have learned to avoid them at all cost. Their
system is basically built for what ever you ask and are not very
upgradeable after that. They limit their expansion slots
to much as well as expansion bays not to mention other
problem. Their customer service on the other hand isn't
too bad, they have "Humans" actually manning
phones.
In return we give them a 2
out of 4 star rating. |
